Mavis Frimpong (Adv) is a qualified legal practitioner trained at the Institute of Legal Practice and Development, (ILPD), Rwanda and a member of the Rwandan Bar. Mavis holds a B.Ed degree in Business Management, a Bachelor of Laws degree (L.L.B.) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Technology, Kumasi.

Mavis, upon being called to the bar, has been an active legal Practitioner both in Rwanda and in Ghana. Her special training in Ghana Law and that of Rwanda puts her in a unique category in legal field. She does her practice, when in Rwanda at the reputable Amilex chambers, Kigali, Rwanda.

She is an associate of 1st Chamber Law consult, where she provides legal opinion for the firm as well as drawing up legal documents for the firm’s clients. Currently, she serves as the firm’s Head of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), as well as International Liaison Officer. She is also in charge of Events and Programmes of the firm.

Mavis has pursued training in International Commercial Arbitration up to the membership level. She is currently assisting in restructuring the firm’s operations as well as on international affiliations for the firm.

Mavis has attended several conferences of arbitrators and legal practitioners, both locally and internationally. She provides excellent support services for the firm’s clients in the area of counselling and legal advice.
